· Good morning  – The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) has an urgent need for volunteers’ age 55+ to drive veterans to their doctors’ appointments. We have one lady who also needs a ride to dialysis several times a week. This lovely lady lives in Bristow and needs a ride to Gainesville on Monday and Friday’s. Either take her at 10am and/or pick her up at 3:30pm. This life saving task is easy and at very civilized time of day- please come join our team of volunteers to help folks with a ride. · Leesylvania State Park needs volunteers on Sunday April 27th from 11am-1pm to build a Pollinator Garden for the Monarch Butterflies. Bring a pair of work gloves to pull weeds, plant host and nectar plants to give the butterflies a Way Station as they migrate across the country. It’s sure to be a super fun time.

· Good morning – come join 1,000 Volunteers at the big Comcast Cares Project in Manassas on Saturday April 26th from 9am-1pm. Tons of volunteers will be cleaning up at the Boys & Girls Club, Jennie Dean School, the SERVE Shelter and the Winter Branch Trail. Good morning – Happy National Volunteer Week! And here’s a huge cheers to lots of fun activities in April- and yes Virginia, I think spring has finally arrived-

· Come support the Bill Mehr Drop-in Shelter on Thursday April 10th at the Silver Diner at Potomac Mills. Treat yourself and mom by dining at the diner and the shelter will receive a donation from all the meals purchased between 5-9pm.

· Good morning Prince William – Volunteers are needed on Sunday April 6th from 9am-noon for the spring cleaning of the Merrimac Farm Stone House in Nokesville. · Good morning Prince William – The Meals on Wheels Program need volunteer drivers to deliver a warm noon time meal to homebound seniors. You will have a predetermined route from either the Manassas or Woodbridge Senior Center and it only take about 2 hours to complete. Schedules are easily adaptable to your schedule. · Good morning Prince William – we have a young man working on his Eagle Scout Project to benefit unsheltered homeless folks in the eastern part of our community. This scout is collecting tents, tarps, sleeping bags, quilts, ponchos backpacks non-perishable items and certainly personal care items to help these individuals be warm. This is a fabulous project and huge Cheers to this young man. He will be at Grace Baptist Church on March 10 to collect donations. Please call Charles with any questions at (703) 473-6868.

· Volunteers are needed to help Keep Prince William Beautiful with their next community survey on March 12th from 9am-12noon. It’s a great way to learn more about your community by helping them collect data. On March 12th you’ll join other volunteers and be driven around to conduct this assessment.
