Glenn Dubois, the chancellor of Virginia’s Community Colleges, made the following statement today regarding COVID-19 vaccines and mask usage across our institutions:
The Kuma Foundation’s Founder and Chairman of the Board, Ray Kimble, presented a $1,000 check to Chad Wray, Principal of Victory Elementary School, to be used for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) enrichment on Friday.
The Kuma Foundation committed to giving 10% of all proceeds from their Annual “Full STEAM Ahead” Fun Run to the school with the most participation. Victory Elementary School was the winner.

Her students visit weekly with students at the Green Valley Child Care Primary School in Uganda.
Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Arlington are capping off an unprecedented year with in-person graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2021. Each graduate can invite four guests to join in the celebratory occasion.
The ceremonies, to be held on each respective school’s football field, will take place at the end of May and in early June. High schools in the Diocese safely re-opened at the beginning of the 2020-21 academic year for hybrid (in-person and virtual) learning, as all 41 brick-and-mortar schools reopened for fully in-person or hybrid instruction. This fall, the four high schools plan to resume full-time in-person instruction with ongoing COVID-19 mitigation safety protocols in place.
The quick shift to virtual learning in 2020 created many new challenges for teachers across the country, but PWCS educators continue to rise to the top.
