WOODBRIDGE, Va. — OmniLink buses will sport an updated look soon as five new local buses are expected to start serving passengers of the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) by mid-February.


PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. —Prince William County Public Schools Superintendent Steven Walts proposed a budget to the School Board Tuesday night that included funding of existing programs, a 2 percent raise for staff member and funding for new construction; however, it did not include any funding to reduce current class sizes. MANASSAS, Va. — Richard D. Sword and Gerry L. Sword, two brothers who were both facing murder charges after the burned body of Manassas resident Anthony Bailey was found in early November in Old Town Manassas, saw those charges dropped today.

DUMFRIES, Va. — The ACTS Emergency Homeless Shelter has been cited 14 times in the past four years for fire code violations. The latest came from the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s office on Jan. 28 after a sprinkler head burst inside of the Dumfries facility and displaced 20 residents.

RICHMOND, Va. – Gov. Bob McDonnell expressed his disgust after his transportation funding package was derailed by Senate Democrats late Tuesday.


Beginning in August, the U.S. Postal Service expects to start saving $2 billion each year when they eliminate Saturday delivery service. Starting August 5, all regular mail will be delivered Monday through Friday only. Packages and mail addressed to PO boxes will continue to be delivered on Saturdays.

DUMFRIES, Va. — Two people were taken to a hospital with serious injuries following an overnight crash in Dumfries.

Emergency crews were called to mile post 152 on Interstate 95 at 1:10 a.m. for a report of a SUV vs. tractor trailer crash. Details about the crash are few right now, but officials said two people had to be pulled from the wreckage and were taken to Fairfax Innova Hospital’s trauma center.
