DALE CITY , Va. — On Saturday, hockey players, students, and fans will gather at Northern Virginia Community College to watch the final game of the season and to honor former team captain Rob Lucier who died in October. Lucier’s #3 will officially be retired during a ceremony prior to the game.


MANASSAS, Va. –– The Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas wants to be a lunchtime destination.

The center will begin hosting weekday performances following a catered lunch. The series, Matinee Idylls, will be held inside the center’s Gregory Family Theater.


MANASSAS, Va. — The Prince William Chamber of Commerce invited its members to join them this month on a trip to Richmond to meet with state policymakers and see government in action. The group included members of the Chamber’s Prince William Veteran Council.

“General Assembly members were excited to see that we have an active, engaged council that both supports veterans and taps into the expertise and energy that they bring to the community,” said Nancy Hiteshue, Chamber Vice President of Public Policy and Communications.

RICHMOND, Va. – Members of the House and Senate are optimistic that at least some of the 10 bills to crack down on texting while driving will make it past the legislative deadline called crossover day.


This year the National Capital Region Red Cross Chapter will hold its under-the-sea themed prom at Heritage Hunt Country Club in Gainesville on April 26 from 7-11 p.m.

A locally-owned Virginia bank will be purchased by United Bankshares, Inc. of Charleston, W.Va.

United Bankshares this week announced it would purchase Virginia Commerce Bank and its 28 banking locations across Northern Virginia, including banking centers in Prince William County and Frederickburg.
