Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg invites the community to dance in the streets in February.

The hospital based in Fredericksburg will hold two “Day of Dance for Your Heart Health” events – one at Spotsylvania Towne Centre and the other at Potomac Mills mall.

Jan 26 – Mr. Hans P. Ugaz (19yoa) of 3376 Vineland Pl. Dumfries, was pulled over for speeding near the intersection of Possum Point and U.S. 1. He was operating a 1999 Mazda 2dr. Sergeant Vazquez smelled marijuana coming from the car. After a brief discussion it was determined there was a small amount of marijuana in his possession. Mr. Ugaz was arrested for possession of marijuana and released on a summons with a Gen Dist Court date of March 13, 2013.


DUMFRIES, Va. — Michael Futrell laid it out on the table: residents in Prince William and Stafford counties are concerned about traffic, schools, and their quality of life.

The Democrat held a campaign kick-off at the General Heiser Branch of the Boys and Girls Club in Dumfries Sunday night. He is running to unseat Mark Dudenhefer, R-Stafford, Woodbridge in the Virginia General Assembly’s 2nd District.

RICHMOND, Va. – Ten members of the Virginia House of Delegates have written a joint letter to the state’s congressional delegation, urging the federal legislators to join in opposing VDOT’s plans to charge tolls on Interstate 95.
