DUMFRIES, Va. — The woman who plans and oversees community events in Dumfries is one of Virginia’s top 10 under 40.
Cydny Neville is the Driector of Community Services in Dumfries and is fresh off planning and executing the town’s Easter Egg Hunt, and is planning for other events in the town including the 4th Annual Multicultural Festival on May 4. But this month she’s been recocnized by the Virginia Leadership Institute, an organization charged with increasing the number of black elected officials in the state.

QUANTICO, Va. – The Navy Criminal Investigative Service identified the shooter who killed two Marines and then himself at Quantico Marine Corps Base as an Iraq war veteran.

LAKE RIDGE, Va. – A fire broke out at a home in Lake Ridge this afternoon.
The blaze was reported at 12530 Sulky Court off Springwoods Drive. The fire was reported to be knocked down by first responding crews.

Madera Farm, LLC is a family-run farm located off of Farmview Road in Nokesville, Va.
Madera Farm is intended to be primarily used for agricultural practices including growing crops and raising livestock. Madera Farm is also planning to operate a landscape service business on the property to include mulch grinding and composting for use by local people and businesses.
