A 20-year-old faces charges in a robbery at a Bank of America in Bristow on Thursday.
DALE CITY, Va. — An employee at a pawn shop in Dale City was stabbed this afternoon during at attempted robbery.
Police reported the stabbing about 2 p.m. Thursday, and said it happened at Pawn City at 4124 Dale Boulevard.

DUMFRIES, Va. — Children in Dumfries will soon have a free ride to after-school activities. But how long that service lasts will depend upon how much the town and the community buy into the new transportation program.
The Prince William County / Manassas Boys and Girls Club has agreed to provide a trial bus service that will pick up children each afternoon and take them to the General Heiser Club on Old Stage Coach Road. The bus service will begin April 2, run the Tuesday through Friday afternoons, and will be able to take as many as 14 children per bus, twice a day — once at 4:30 p.m. and again at 5 o’clock — from Ginn Memorial Park on Graham Park Road to the General Heiser Club.

OCCOQUAN, Va. — On a cold February morning, the first Frigid 5K Run was held in Occoquan.
Area residents and runners filled the streets in the tiny village on Feb. 23 for the inaugural run to benefit the Optimist Club of the Occoquan, Woodbridge, and Neabsco districts in Prince William County.
Prince William County Schools may have to revise its budget for FY14, since the county has reduced its average tax bill from what was presented by county staff, and the Virginia General Assembly is deliberating on even deeper budget cuts.
