A low-pressure system will develop over the Virginia Highlands today, ahead of a cold front that is tracking east from the Great Lakes, according to the National Weather Service forecast discussion page.

J. Manley Garber is the founder longest serving board member at the Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative. His last name also makes up half of the name for Gar-Field Senior High School in Woodbridge.

Police want to know who nearly run down an officer at the Occoquan Craft Show.

A red Jeep was spotted by the uniformed officer driving in an area of town that had been blocked off by cones. The officer went to speak to the driver, and as he walked out in front of the Jeep the driver accelerated, according to police.


A woman arrested in Stafford is wanted in connection to a murder in Woodbridge.

Police said the woman was detained by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office on unrelated charges after a man was pronounced dead at a home in the 14823 block of Statler Drive in Woodbridge, just off Cardinal Drive.
