Prince William County decided selected a winner Tuesday night in Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam.

Northam won in a Democratic Primary Election the county of nearly half a million people by less than one percent. He beat former Congressman Tom Perriello, a candidate that was seen to stand more to the left of Northam.


On Thursday, June 8th at 12:45 a.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a townhouse fire located in the 10900 block of Pope Street in Manassas.

Upon arrival, fire and rescue crews observed a mid-row townhouse with heavy fire to the rear quickly spreading to adjoining townhomes. During interior operations, conditions quickly changed causing two firefighters to quickly exit the building.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer – On June 11 at 9:10 p.m., officers responded to an apartment located in the 18100 block of Kilmer Ln in Triangle to investigate a domestic violence call. The victim, a 21-year-old man of Triangle, reported to police that he and the accused, a family member, were involved in a verbal argument which escalated. (more…)

For the first time since prohibition in the 1920s, a distillery in Manassas will sell its very own rye whiskey to the public.

Bare Knuckle American Rye Whiskey, bottled at KO Distillery is a drink that harkens back to older times but produced for a younger generation. An explosion of rye whiskey drinkers at area restaurants, mostly among millennials, has made popular once again a drink that was popular in the mid 20th century.
