Voters will head to the polls on Tuesday for the state’s Primary Election.
Voters statewide will choose who they want to be their respective party’s gubernatorial candidates. In Prince William County, voters will choose Democratic Party candidates in four House of Delegates Races.

“During their June 6, 2017 meeting, the Occoquan Town Council appointed Interim Chief of Police and Town Sergeant Adam Linn to permanently fill the position. Chief Linn, a 15-year law enforcement veteran, has been serving as the Town’s Interim Chief/Town Sergeant since December of last year upon the retirement of previous Chief Sheldon Levi. Chief Linn first joined the Town of Occoquan in February 2016 as an Auxiliary Police Officer.

For dirty dogs, spa services will be included with boarding. The state-of-the-art facility is set to open soon although a date has not been listed. The Gainesville office will join the brokerage’s over 220 offices in the day of giving back by hosting a packing party for Comfort Cases.
Thousands of children enter the foster-care system each year, and most carry little more than the clothes on their backs. Comfort Cases was founded on a mission to provide the essentials to these brave children on their journey to find a home. Burglary While Armed – On June 7 at 11:18 p.m., officers responded to the 7400 block of Pinehurst Ln in Manassas to investigate a home invasion. When officers arrived, they spoke with a victim, a 31-year-old man of Manassas, who reported that he was outside the residence when he was approached by two unknown men.
Prince William police in late 2011 began seizing more and more heroin on the streets.
It was an early warning sign that the drug was becoming a problem in the community. Since then across the state, the use of heroin, fentanyl, and carfentanyl have exploded. The use of fentanyl alone increased 147% between then and now, according to Virginia State Health Commissioner Dr. Marissa Levine.

A new sign honoring the life of a Prince William County crossing guard was erected Wednesday.
The sign at the intersection of Hedges Run Drive and Mount Burnside Way remembers the life of Besty Rose, 62, a who served as a county crossing guard for 26 years. The sign was erected outside Lake Ridge Elementary School where she helped hundreds of children across the street.
A 15-question trivia quiz turned out to be the star of the evening at an annual taste of the town dinner for Literacy Volunteers of America – Prince William.
The questions ranged from “Before they were the Potomac Nationals, what team was the Prince William Cannons affiliated with?” to “what do you call a word that has two meanings?”
