PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — John and Christina Hayes were recognized among this year’s outstanding foster parents on Wednesday.

Foster parents from 10 jurisdictions in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia were honored by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) Board of Directors as the region’s 2019 Foster Parents of the Year.


The 2019 Sheriff’s race in greater Prince William County will feature one nonpartisan candidate, Ms. Rhonda Dickson.

Rhonda is the first female candidate in county history to contend for the Sheriff’s seat. Rhonda is a lifelong resident and native of Prince William County, a decorated veteran of the United States Air Force, and a former Prince William County Police Officer and retired Sheriff’s Office Deputy.


MANASSAS — Roger Snyder has been Prince William County’s eye in the sky.

He’s been photographing the land from his Cessna airplane, at an altitude of 1,500 feet, for the past 20 years. He’s photographed land on which Potomac Mills mall sits before the mall was built, to an ever-expanding number of data centers dotting the western portion of the county today.


PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Democrats in Prince William County is trying to link a winner of Saturday’s “Firehouse Primary” election in Prince William County with President Donald Trump.

Voter turnout was also lower this year when compared to a Republican Primary Election held four years ago, they add.


MANASSAS — Glendell “Glen” Hill, who’s running to keep his job as Prince William County Sheriff, just got the endorsement of Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney, Paul Ebert, who has held the position since 1968.

“Over the years, I have worked closely with Sheriff Hill, and I know him to be an outstanding conservator of the peace, said Ebert. “Therefore, I know the citizens of Prince William County, and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park are well served.”


PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Mu-Del Electronics LLC, a manufacturer of high-performance radio frequency and microwave-based systems, has relocated to a new operations center in Prince William County.

The new 19,358 square foot facility represents $5 million investment for the company.
