STAFFORD, Va. — Next week, work will begin to improve the quality of the ride for motorists on Interstate 95 in the Fredericksburg region by paving multiple segments of northbound and southbound I-95 in Caroline, Spotsylvania and Stafford counties.
Collectively, 63 individual lane miles of I-95 will be milled and paved in the Fredericksburg region this year. Milling and paving eliminates persistent potholes, ruts and cracking, and establishes a new, smooth surface for driving that can withstand the persistent high volume and heavy weight of interstate traffic.
