WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Woodbridge’s elected leader Frank Principi is unhappy that some of the last votes cast in his district were at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday night.

Long lines and wait times of up to five hours at Potomac Middle School in the River Oaks Precinct, with only a handful polling machines processing about 30 voters per has now prompted a local town hall meeting, and a call from Democrats to investigate what went wrong.


STAFFORD, Va. — Students and the community came together at Mountain View High School to see marching bands perform, and to help the hungry.

Band Together to Fight Hunger kicked off Monday night, marking the second year students from all five Stafford County high schools gathered on one field to benefit the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank.


NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — Republicans met Tuesday night at Vinny’s Italian Restaurant in North Stafford to watch election returns roll in.


The cast and crew of TV’s Dance Moms will film an episode at Forest Park High School on Saturday. The filming begins at 10 a.m. and goes until 7 p.m., and there’s a limited number of tickets open to anyone who wants to come watch the dance competition being filmed.

Ramirez will take a new job in Richmond and was about to complete the first year into her third term on the eight- member Board.

Ramirez’s resignation comes after a high-profile change-up on the County School Board that led to last night’s election of Lillie Jessie who will represent Prince William’s Occoquan District and permanently replace Grant Lattin, who stepped down earlier this spring.
