NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — A guy known for carrying a possum on his shoulder will be in North Stafford to sign copies of his children’s books.
MANASSAS, Va. — Retired Prince William County Police Chief Charlie T. Deane got a proper send off this past weekend.
A private party for the chief was held at Flightworks at Manassas Regional Airport on Saturday night. It was paid for and attended by private citizens, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — It’s no secret developers in Woodbridge have shifted their focus west of U.S. 1, which for years has been known for strip shopping centers and auto dealers.

In what seems like six short months ago, we sat down in a room near Manassas and talked about the demise of the local newspaper. The general consensus at the meeting of the Prince William Committee of 100 that the local community newspaper would meet its doom in 2017.
The daily newspaper in Prince William County, News & Messenger and it’s companion website Insidenova.com, will cease production Dec. 30. It looks like 2017 came early.
