STAFFORD, Va. — For the first time, Stafford County officials lit the county’s Christmas Tree.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Ideas on how to fund the needs of Prince William County are on the table, though some of them differ.
The Board of County Supervisors on Tuesday reviewed each proposals from supervisors Corey Stewart, At-Large, Peter Candland, R-Gainesville, Frank Principi, D-Woodbridge, and John Jenkins, D-Neabsco.
A man from Woodbridge died today, and another faces charges after both were involved in separate crashes on the Capital Beltway.

DUMFRIES, Va. — Police said the woman who was shot on Graham Park Court in Dumfries last night arranged the robbery that led to the shooting and is now a suspect.
Police said the 23-year-old victim of Triangle rode with a 42-year-old man from Fredericksburg in a car driven by a 47-year-old woman to Graham Park Court just before 5 p.m. Monday. Police said the driver picked up the 23-year-old woman and 42-year-old man at Dumfries Shopping Center on U.S. 1.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — While a new Potomac Nationals stadium may not be official – leaders in Prince William County are moving ahead with plans to build a parking garage for the planned structure.
A request for $5 million from Virginia’s Transportation Partnership Opportunity Fund is expected to be approved today by the Prince William County Board of Supervisors. With this money, construction of a 1,250-space parking garage could begin, and those spaces would serve shoppers at Potomac Town Center at Stonebridge – home to Wegmans grocery store — Potomac Nationals game time fans, and commuters who would park during the day and leave before games begin, officials said.
