When I entered the world of public school education as a starry-eyed math teacher, it didn’t take long for me to learn that although I was charged with the task of teaching formulas and equations, I, and the other educators in my building were not the most important teachers in my student’s lives.
It’s tax day, and that means you’ll have to file your returns today or file for an extension. Area Post Offices will be open to accept those returns for those who opted not to file online.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A woman who pulled her car into the Smart Car Wash on Saturday was injured when a brush came into her car.
It happened about 11:30 a.m. at the Woodbridge car wash on Minnieville Road near a Ford automotive dealership.
