WOODBRIDGE, Va. – Someone shot out a window at Occoquan Elementary School on Monday morning.
Police said a single bullet was shot through one of the classroom windows of the school. No one was inside the school at the time of the shooting. The bullet damaged a SmartBoard inside a classroom causing $12,000 in damage, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

QUANTCO, Va. — The top man in charge of Quantico’s Officer’s Candidate School, where three Marines died in March, is out of a job.
The Marine Corps Times reports decorated infantry officer Col. Kris Stillings was relieved of command Monday. Stillings was selected to lead OCS two years ago, but officials told the corps newspaper the decision to relieve him was a “painful” one that “boiled down to accountability.”

A man from Dumfries was killed this morning after he lost control of his motorcycle, and now police hope witnesses will provide information on the tractor-trailer that struck him.
STAFFORD, Va. — Employees at Del’s Towing and Wrecker Service in North Stafford made a shattering discovery Friday morning – the glass door to their shop had been smashed.
Stafford County sheriff’s deputies were called to the businesses on Va. 610 just after 7:30 a.m., after employees found chards of glass broken. Nothing from the shop was stolen, said sheriff’s office spokesman Bill Kennedy.

MANASSAS, Va. — On Arbor Day, April 26, the third-graders at West Gate Elementary School in Prince William County had a chance to get their hands dirty and plant some trees.
