If you speak the language of Haute Couture, more than likely you are well versed in keyhole necklines and silhouettes. You’re probably also familiar with the upcoming D.C. Fashion Week, which will surely fulfill your craving for high fashion.

The weeklong event launching on September 21-28, will exhibit emerging and seasoned designers that highlight clothing, merchandising and modeling. Several runway fashion shows will stretch across the City at multiple venues with designers showcasing their Fall Collection and featuring trends in sweaters, skirts, bag essentials, and formal wear.

The U.S. is going back to the moon tonight and the rocket will launch from Virginia, giving millions on the east coast a chance to see it ascend into the sky.

The unmanned Minotaur rocket is set to launch from the Eastern Shore’s Wallops Space Flight Center at between 11:27 and 11:31 p.m. The lunch will be visible from South Carolina to Maine, and will easily be visible in our area provided skies aren’t cloudy at the time of lift off.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — William Vaughn saw horror unfold on Sept. 11, 2001. He and his wife were staying in the Marriott Hotel at the World Trade Center and were going through their morning routine of drinking coffee and exercise when a plane hit the North Tower.

They both escaped that fateful morning without injury and watched as the second plane hit the South Tower, and gasped as the building later collapsed onto the hotel they had slept the night before.

MANASSAS, Va. — A leisurely stroll on horseback turned dangerous for two horseback riders at Manassas Battlefield National Park.

The two riders about noon on Sunday were crossing busy U.S. 29 that runs through the park at a designated horse crossing. The approaching cars stopped and allowed the two riders to pass.
