My Grandpa said, “Trust has to be earned.” I believed him because I believed everything he told me. Today, though, I’m not sure that was accurate. I think we all start life trusting. Just picture the joy when you toss your toddler in the air! That child trusts you to catch him/her. If you missed, that child may develop mistrust, but it is not an inherent, natural part of childhood.
DUMFRIES, Va. — Art, gift baskets, gift certificates, and historical memorabilia were silently auctioned off in Dumfries on Saturday night.
Historic Dumfries’ 2nd Annual Victorian Holiday Silent Auction was held at the Dumfries – Triangle Rescue Squad. About 200 people came to the event, each purchasing a ticket for $5 each to support the town’s museum, the Weems-Botts House, which served as the home of George Washington’s biographer.

STAFFORD, Va. — Stafford County no longer remains in the running to be the next location for a new FBI headquarters.
Prince William County, along with neighbors in Fairfax, Loudoun, and Arlington counties will still be considered. So will cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Herndon, Manassas, and Vienna. Washington, D.C., and Montgomery and Prince Georges counties in Maryland will also be considered.

“All Is Lost” has nothing to do with the Obama Administration. It’s the latest Robert Redford (“The Company You Keep”) vehicle, and this time it’s a boat. This movie is the brainchild of Writer/Director J.C. Chandor (“Margin Call”), and for some reason he needed the 77-year-old Redford to pull it off.

The suspects are accused of taking to the streets to buy prescription narcotics and heroin, according to police.
