PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — You’ll soon be able to catch a bus from Prince William County to Metro’s new Silver Line serving Tysons Corner. With the change, PRTC will no longer serve the Vienna or West Falls Church stations on Metro’s Orange Line.

STAFFORD, Va. — At their meeting on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, the Stafford County School Board approved the appointment of Cessy Mallory as the assistant principal in charge of athletics and activities at Stafford High School. She began her career as a professional educator in 2002 teaching special education classes in Prince William County.
She is currently a health and physical education teacher and department chair at Mountain View High School. Ms. Mallory has been with Stafford County Schools for nine years and in addition to her current duties as department chair, she has served as a principal intern and managed responsibilities for attendance, in school suspension, expanded recognition opportunities for students and has served as an interim activities director.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Prince William taxpayers are about to sink more money into a baseball stadium that will soon be replaced with a new one.
County officials are set to authorize funding for construction of new covered batting tunnels to be built at Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge – home of the Potomac Nationals Minor League Baseball team which is affiliated with the Washington Nationals.

MANASSAS, Va. — Construction crews working in the area of Prince William Parkway and Va. 28 struck a gas line.
Police have a ramp from the parkway to Va. 28 closed at this hour and traffic in the area is slowed. There’s no word yet on how long the repair will take.
