WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On August 17, a female suspect told police that while she was meeting a male suspect to purchase marijuana, the male suspect robbed her with a handgun. According to the report, police discovered that the female suspect was lying about the robbery because after giving him the money, the male suspect didn’t give her marijuana; both were arrested.

STAFFORD, Va. – On August 13, a Stafford County Sheriff deputy went to Hope Springs Marina on Hope Springs Lane to investigate a larceny report.

Stafford Sheriff spokesman Bill Kennedy said that the deputy spoke with the 911 caller at the marina who said that 11 separate boats parked in the Marina had been broken into. Kennedy said that a total of 19 batteries were stolen from the 11 boats valued at a total of $2,600. Kennedy further said that the batteries appeared to have been stolen from boats that had been left there for some time.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On August 20, Veterans Memorial Park was found burglarized after police discovered that intruders cut and took out a window screen from an unsecured window and tried to open the cash registers in a booth. According to reports, no money from the cash registers or items were stolen.

MANASSAS, Va. –– The death of a 26-year-old man found stabbed to death in a dumpster appears to be gang related.

Two suspects are in custody and four more are wanted in connection to the death of Cesar Benjamin Contreras, of Manassas. Contreras’ body was found inside a dumpster in at the Colonial Village Apartments near Old Town Manassas about 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
