A traffic signal at the intersection of Brady Lane and Cushing Road, near Prince William Parkway and Balls Ford Road near Manassas, has been removed as part of ongoing roadway realignments in the area. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) dismantled the signal on Wednesday, March 12, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
VDOT stated the signal was no longer necessary due to shifting traffic patterns following the realignment of Balls Ford Road. As part of the project, Balls Ford Road was moved further south, creating a new interchange. The previous section of the road, east of Prince William Parkway (Route 234), was renamed Brady Lane and no longer intersects the parkway.

This one-year-old male goose was discovered waddling around Kellogg Mill Rd (22405), seemingly lost and without clear direction—just honks and vibes. Despite his confusion, he’s surprisingly laid-back for a goose and currently stays at the shelter while we search for his owner.
Ann Louise Wetzel, 93, of Lufkin, Texas, formerly of Woodbridge, Virginia, died Wednesday, March 12, 2025 in Lufkin. Graveside services are pending and will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
Mrs. Wetzel was born December 22, 1931 in Minersville, Pennsylvania to Christina (Kerick) and Michael Pellish. She was a proud military wife and worked in the uniform shop at Fort Belvoir, Virginia for many years. She resided in Woodbridge, Virginia for over 55 years and moved to Texas five years ago to be with her daughter and family. Mrs. Wetzel was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Woodbridge, Virginia. She adored her family and was affectionately known by them as “Dolly”. She was loved very much and will be dearly missed.
