Was Quantico Town Mayor Kevin Brown wrong when he ignored the orders of his town council?

That question was batted about during a special meeting of the Quantico Town Council on June 16. Last year, the council voted and directed Brown to hang decorative banners with the U.S. Flag emblazoned on them onto light poles in the town.

The Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) currently operates commuter and local bus service for residents in Prince William, Stafford, Manassas, and Manassas Park.

Shelley Lynn Basham, 56, of Seven Lakes, West End, North Carolina, went home to be with The Lord, Monday morning, June 22, 2015.

Shelley was born in Bristol, Connecticut, on September 25, 1958 and lived the majority of her younger life in California where she graduated from Norco High School in 1976. Relocating to Virginia with her family in 1977, Shelley met and married the love of her life, John Wesley Basham, jr. on June 22, 1985. Shelley and John resided in Nokesville, Virginia until 2014 when they moved to their retirement home in Seven Lakes. Shelley was diagnosed with lung cancer a year ago. She passed away on her and John’s 30th wedding anniversary.

Three youth teams from Prince William Courage (U15 Boys, U17 Girls, U18 Girls) have qualified for US Club Soccer’s National Premier League Finals to be held July 9-13 at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind.

NPL Finals is the culminating event of a year-long, league-based competition among qualifiers from 19 regional leagues around the country. It will feature more than 6,000 players from 150 teams representing 18 U.S. states.

Early in the morning on June 23rd, Prince William police responded to a call at a hotel on Dumfries Road in Dumfries for a robbery.

According to Prince William police, the victim – a 25-year old woman – was visiting the hotel. The victim stated that she met an unknown individual in the area, and he followed her back to the hotel.
