One of the first businesses to get involved with the initiative was HomeTowne Auto Repair & Tire, with their car-shaped little free library on Route 1 in Woodbridge.

Yesterday they became internationally chartered by the organization that has popularized the little free libraries movement – Littlefreelibrary.org.

Some Stafford residents may see discolored yellowish water coming from their taps.

According to a Stafford release, the water is safe to drink and will not cause any problems, and there is no need to boil it first. But the county is asking that residents refrain from doing laundry because it could stain clothing.

The Virginia Commission for the Arts’ Performing Arts Touring Directory is intended to support Virginia performing artists and ensembles as well as increase opportunities for Virginians to experience high quality performing arts events statewide.  Performing artists and ensembles apply to be listed in the Tour Directory with a set amount of funding reserved to support their touring; grants are made to the presenter, not the touring artist(s).  Individuals and groups on the roster are excellent and experienced performers available to communities, schools and other venues.
