A man who spent 14 years working as an evidence clerk at the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is out of a job after a coin went missing.
A letter to attorneys who have all plead cases inside the Stafford County Courthouse were notified via a letter from Commonwealth Attorney Eric Olsen on Wednesday of an internal investigation that led the employee’s firing.

According to Prince William police, officers were called to the high school in Haymarket on August 12, for a burglary.
Bill Hurley, former Prince William County police officer and father of PGA golfing star Bill Hurley Jr., has died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Hurley made headlines last month after disappearing during the Quicken Loans National gold tournament at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, in Prince William. Hurley’s son was a participant in the tournament.

Responders were called to Islip Loop in Dumfries for a fire in the kitchen of one apartment unit, stated Prince William fire and rescue. According to Prince William fire and rescue, they found that the sprinkler system had been activated and put out the fire.
There was smoke and minor fire damage in the apartment, stated Prince William fire and rescue. No one was injured.
Olga Mary Halushack Hatchel, originally from Shenandoah, PA, and formerly of Woodbridge, VA, passed away peacefully at age 88 on August 11, 2015.
She is survived by her sons Jospeh and Edward, Joseph’s wife Beth, and their children and children’s spouses; Ashley and her husband Ryan, Rebecca and her husband David, Rory and his wife Rebecah, Nicholas, and her great grandson Judah. She is also survived by her sister Christine and her husband Norman.
