Parents brought their daughters and sons for the Baby Contest at the Prince William County Fair.
The Prince William County Fair will open at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016, due to excessive heat in the region.
The fair had been scheduled to open at noon, but hot temperatures forced fair officials to postpone Sunday’s opening.

The Virginia Department of Transportation will be closing Bristow Road (Route 619) to through traffic between Route 28 and Lucasville Road Saturday, August 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday, August 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for railroad crossing repairs.

Murder Investigation *ADDITIONAL ARREST – On August 9, detectives from the Homicide Unit charged a third man in connection to the murder of Najee Mason which occurred in the 14900 block of Potomac Heights Pl in Woodbridge on June 4.
Today marked one of the busiest days at the Prince William County Fair — the day before opening day.
