There was a first today at the Hylton Performing Arts Center: A massive naturalization ceremony for nearly 450 new U.S. citizens.

A line of people backed out the front door of the performing arts center at 8:30 a.m. today. What is normally an empty parking lot was full of cars.

62 children evacuated from Minnieland Academy in Manassas

Fire and rescue crews evacuated 62 children from a Minnieland Academy daycare center on Technology Drive.

A construction contractor working in the area struck a gas main, and that prompted the evacuation said Manassas Fire and Rescue Batallion Chief Mark Nary.
