With interest growing in how landfills can benefit local communities, the public and media are invited to tour Prince William Energy, a renewable landfill gas to energy (LFG) plant at the Prince William County Landfill. The tour is part of the Prince William Recycles Day event on Saturday, October 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The LFG plant owner/operator Fortistar, management specialists focused on investments in energy sources for transitioning to a zero carbon economy, is a sponsor of the annual free event.

Join us on Sunday, May 31st, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM for a beautifully curated afternoon celebrating the romance and inspiration of European travel. We recommend arriving at 2:45 PM for the best seating. We’ll begin with a brief presentation highlighting unforgettable journeys along Europe’s iconic rivers with AmaWaterways, followed by a special screening of Under the Tuscan Sun — a heartwarming story set against the breathtaking landscapes of Tuscany and the transformative power of embracing life abroad. A minimum $5 per person donation to Manna Food Center is required to attend, and we are proud to match donations up to $500. You may also elect to donate more. Non-perishable food donations are also warmly welcomed. Raffle proceeds will benefit Manna as well, helping provide nourishment and support to families in our community. Prince William County Board of Supervisors Chairman Corey Stewart, At-large was fired from the Donald Trump for President campaign after he staged a rally outside Republican National Headquarters in Washington, D.C. 

Stewart had been serving as Trump’s point man in Virginia since the billionaire held a campaign rally in Manassas last December. Monday’s rally organized by Stewart came as several Republicans rescinded their support for the billionaire presidential candidate.
