FOX 5’s “Zip Trip” is coming to Stafford this Friday, June, 30th. During our annual summer Zip Trip series, the Good Day DC team gets out of the studio and broadcasts an entire episode from a different location in the FOX 5 viewing area each Friday. Our goal is to showcase local restaurants, schools, and businesses, and we have lots of activities for members of the local community who come out to watch the broadcast.

The annual Dale City 4th of July Parade begins at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4th. Lineup for the parade begins at 9:00 a.m. at Kirkdale Road and Dale Boulevard for parade participants and the parade will end at the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) commuter parking lot at Center Plaza in Dale City.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda A. Carr; three children, Addison A, Carr and wife Jennifer of West Virginia, Gabriell A. Carr of Fredericksburg, VA and Myra A. Carr of Fredericksburg, VA; parents, Tommy and Ann Carr of Alabama; two grandchildren, Jaelen and Christian Carr; brother, Donnie Carr; sister Shonise Carr.
Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Friday, June 30, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 9258 Center Street, Manassas, VA with Dr. Keith Savage officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens 12004 Lee Highway Manassas, VA.

One person was struck by a commuter train near Manassas.
A pedestrian was struck on a truss bridge over the Bull Run River at 3:13 p.m. Fire and rescue crews were called to Lake Drive behind General’s Ridge Golf Course to respond to the incident.
From Prince William police:
Shooting Investigation – Currently, officers are on scene investigating a reported shooting which occurred at the Southampton Apartment complex located in the 4100 block of Southway Ln in Triangle shortly before 2:30pm. Three individuals, unknown ages, were transported to an area hospital with minor non-gunshot related injuries.
North Stafford’s library will soon have new shelves to make it easier find books.
The new metal shelves at The Porter Branch of the Central Rappahannock Regional Library in Park Ridge will be installed in mid-July.
