Good morning Prince William – Prince William Health Department needs volunteers on Friday mornings, 8am-9:30am at the Woodbridge office to help with client screenings and referrals to their SBRIT Program. “Attempted Abduction | Malicious Wounding *ARREST– On May 20, detectives from the Special Victims Unit were able to identify the suspect involved in the attempted abduction and assault which occurred in the area of Castile Court and Oakwood Drive in Woodbridge. Following the investigation, detectives located and arrested the suspect, identified as Keith Richard GRIFFIN, later that afternoon. A search warrant was subsequently executed at this residence.

“On Sunday, May 21, at approximately 12:15 a.m., the City Of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department along with units from Manassas Park and Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue responded to the 10300 block of Poe Drive for a two-alarm structure fire.
A Jeep was involved in a crash at the intersection of Artemus and Catharpin Roads near Haymarket about 3 p.m.
No word on injuries.

Fatal Crash Investigation – On May 19 at 10:48AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Great Oaks Dr and Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a single vehicle crash. An officer was patrolling in the above area when a citizen reported finding a vehicle located down an embankment at the dead end of Great Oaks Dr.

That all changed for the second grader at Dumfries Elementary School on Friday when she was given a brand new 20-inch pink and purple bike, and safety helmet.
