Ramona was a loving and caring woman. She was loved by anyone she came in contact with. She was always about the simple things in life, and didn’t require much to make her happy. Anyone who knew her, knew her greatest joy in life were her children, grand children, and great grand child. She lived for them, and was so joyed with their lives and their accomplishments. She loved them with everything in her. Life was always hard for her, but she never let that control her. She took what she had, and always made the best of it. That is something everyone will remember about her. She was a hard worker. She worked at Wal-Mart for a little over 20 years. That was her 2nd home/family. She had so many special friends who she loved very much and they loved her. She couldn’t have asked for a better group of friends. Her children have so many fond memories of their mother. One that sticks out the most was her cooking and baking. She kept that passion throughout her life. She loved finding a great new recipe and going to the store to shop for it. You never really seen Ramona not in a good mood, unless she was angry. And oh boy anyone who knew her, knew she spoke her mind and didn’t really care if she hurt your feelings. Of course it wasn’t intentional, she was just very honest. Towards the end, she had the hardest struggle of her life, and that was her battle with cervical cancer. Throughout all of that she was amazing. No one would have ever guessed except by her appearance that she was sick. She did not let that consume her. Everyday was a challeng for her, but she always had a smile on her face. Everyone was so amazed by her positive attitude dealing with her sickness. She just knew she was gonna overcome it all, get back to work, and enjoy her family. Unfortunately her battle has come to an end. We are at peace knowing she is no longer in pain and not suffering. And she is home with her Mother, Father, and Grandson. Mom we all love you so much and you will be greatly missed. We all will carry on your legacy, and will see you again one day.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby Kidd, Steven Shifflett (Memory) and Storm Shifflett, her daughters Amy Euresti (Dave), Crystal Kidd; nine grand children: Mareena, Dakota, Anthony, Devin,Dylan, Caleb, Caden, Grayson, Mason; great grand daughter Lilliana and brother William Forrest Jr.

It’s common knowledge that traffic on Interstate 95 north is slow in the mornings as commuters head to work in Washington, D.C. In the afternoons, traffic on the interstate slows again as workers head south for home.

In the past month, however, that rule of the road has been tested. OmniRide commuter buses from Prince William County headed north on I-95 were delayed at least 12 times between May 25 and June 23.
