Stafford County’s Board of Supervisors approved a proffer amendment and conditional use permit this week that could potentially add a much-needed outpatient health care facility to the courthouse area revitalization efforts at no cost to the County. The 108,000 square foot facility, being bid upon by CRAssociates, Inc. with the federal government, could serve up to 34,000 enrolled active duty military, families, retirees, wounded warriors and veterans that are exclusively enrolled at the facility.

A woman was arrested in Stafford County on Tuesday after shoplifting Play-Doh from Target on South Gateway Drive. Investigators with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office later learned the woman was wanted out of West Virginia on escape and destruction of property charges.

Construction is underway to stabilize the historic Stone Bridge at Manassas National Battlefield Park. Although originally intended to be completed in one season, construction will need to be divided into two phases to safely complete the project and address more significant deterioration than expected.
