On that eve, her parents and siblings welcomed her for a grand homecoming. A celebration of her life will start at 1030 a.m. Visitation; 1100 a.m. Memorial Service at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal, 1830 Kirby Road, McLean, VA 22101. Interment will be at First Baptist Church Chesterbrook, 1740 Kirby Road, McLean, VA

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Officials are reviewing a project that would add a 4th travel lane on Interstate 95 south in Prince William County.

The lane would run from Route 123 to Prince William County and push back a bottleneck on the highway drivers face as the cross the Occoquan River, where the highway’s regular travel lanes reduce from eight to six.

STAFFORD — Finally, fire and rescue crews on Shelton Shop Road will have a permanent home.

Crews at Fire Station 14 have been operating from a modular building for the past six years. This week, the county announced it would hold a groundbreaking for a new $6.5 million fire station to replace the modular building

From police:  

Threats on School Grounds – On February 26 at 11:00AM, a School Resource Officer received information of a potential threat of violence against a Prince William County Public School teacher at Patriot High School located at 10504 Kettle Run Rd in Nokesville (20181). The investigation revealed that two students, a 14-year-old male and a 16-year-old male, communicated over the social media app “Snapchat” suggesting violence against a specific teacher at the school. The students also posted a picture of a suspected firearm that was later determined to be a BB gun. The officer subsequently located both students and quickly determined that the threat was not credible. Following the investigation, the officer obtained petitions for both students who were served and released back to the custody of a family member.

Prince William County School Board Chairman Ryan Sawyers today ended his bid for Virginia’s 1st Congressional Seat currently held by Rob Wittman. 

The move comes a week after he called for the resignation of Prince William County Public Schools Superintendent Steven Walts after he was involved in a crash while driving a school division vehicle last fall.

Stephen leaves behind his loving wife of 9 years, Teresa Ramlakhan. Devoted sons, Sebastian and Ronaldo. Beloved mother, Maharani Ramlakhan and preceded in death by his father, Roy Edwards. Cherished brother, Richard Ramlakhan. Adored aunts and uncles, Uraim Ramlakhan, Jeramiah Ramlakhan, Helen Ramlakhan, Alvin Ramlakhan and Seeta Ramlakhan. Best friend and mentor, Raymond Arroyo.
