Disney’s smash Broadway adaptation of the cult hit movie musical, Newsies, is coming to the Pied Piper Theatre in Manassas.
Winning the rights to do the show is a coup for the Center for the Arts at the Candy Factory Director Beverly Hess and Pied Piper Theatre Director Anne Ridgeway.

Officers tracked the suspect to J&J International Market at 16593 River Ridge Boulevard in Woodbridge just before 3 p.m.

LAKE RIDGE — A new Taco Bell will open just off Old Bridge Road in Lake Ridge.
The fast-food restaurant on Cape Cod Court will hire 30 people to run the store and will feature the same menu items as other nearby Taco Bell franchises.
DUMFRIES — A suspect in a shooting in Stafford County was arrested in Dumfries.
Stafford authorities said they apprehended the suspect about noon Sunday while he was walking on Fuller Heights Road. The arrest came in an operation of the Northern Virginia U.S. Marshal Task Force.

QUANTICO — The U.S. flag will once again fly over the Iwo Jima Memorial at Quantico.
During the windstorm in March, the hands holding the pole were damaged to the point that the flag was no longer stable. The statue greets visitors at the main gate to the base, as well as those who use Route 1 to drive past the base..

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — As lighting filled the sky and thunder crashed overhead, the driver of a Toyota FJ Cruiser ran off the road.
The crash happened at the intersection of Prince William Parkway and Scenic Pointe Place near Manassas about 4:30 p.m.
MANASSAS — Siding on a home near Manassas melted today after a lawnmower caught fire.
Fire and rescue crews were called to 9812 Hynson Drive at about 3 p.m. Monday.
