PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Police are searching for the driver suspected of causing a violent chain-reaction crash.

Five people on Tuesday were in an SUV traveling south on a two-lane portion of Route 234 toward Interstate 66. As the SUV approached the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College, an oncoming driver swerved into their lane at 5 p.m.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Fire and rescue crews became stranded by floodwaters after they were called to rescue the driver of a pick up that drove through rising waters. 

The call went out at 7:10 a.m., when crews from Prince William County and Quantico were dispatched to Fleetwood Drive behind the Marine Corps Base in Nokesville.

A sinkhole measuring 18 feet deep and 25 feet wide has crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation working overtime. 

The hole formed last week in North Stafford after heavy rains in the area, and subsequently forced the transportation agency to close a portion of Eustace Road between Northhampton Boulevard and Legal Court.

As a U.S. Air Force veteran, I attended an event for vets hosted at VFW Post 1503 in Dale City.  The Town Hall was on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. 

I didn’t know this event for Vets was actually for Democrats only.  I say this because Prince William County senators Richard Black and Richard Stuart, and Tim Delegate Hugo (all three veterans of considerable military stature) weren’t at the Town Hall.

A new study from financial technology company SmartAsset ranks the most affordable places to live in Virginia. This is SmartAsset’s fourth annual study on the most affordable places in America. These communities are ranked on an affordability index weighing property taxes, homeowners’ insurance fees and mortgage payments relative to income.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Five people were taken to a hospital following a crash on Route 234.

All five people suffered serious injuries in the crash that occurred at 5 p.m. outside the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. One was flown to an area hospital from the visitors center of the Manassas National Battlefield.
