STAFFORD — An elderly woman died early Monday morning after a tree crashed through her residence during a storm that swept through Stafford County.

On April 15, 2019, at approximately 1:43 a.m., deputies responded to an assist rescue at a residence located on Doyle Place. During the storm, a tree fell on the residence, injuring an 82- year-old man and killing a 78-year-old female subject who was asleep inside, states Stafford sheriff’s office spokeswoman Amanda Vicinanzo.

STAFFORD — This video clearly shows where a new portion of Courthouse Road will connect with an entrance to Stafford Hospital.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office posted new drone video taken high above the Courthouse Road realignment project. The road is being moved slightly to the south to connect with Hospital Center Boulevard, at Stafford Hospital.

Kay Ruehlmann, 69, of Woodbridge, passed away on Saturday, April 13, in Washington, DC.

She was a talented artist, loved to crochet and was both a writer and a reader. She cherished time spent with family.

MANASSAS — The city of Manassas will soon be getting a much-needed upgrade to its traffic signals which are using software that is over a decade old.

“We actually just had our kickoff meeting this morning with the contractor to get started.” Deputy City Manager Bryan Foster said on Thursday.
