Lillian Rose Lane, 93, of Woodbridge, VA died August 9, 2019 at home. She was a retired bookkeeper for Manassas Ice & Fuel Company (MIFCO). Lillian Lane was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church. Lillian Lane was preceded in death by her husband Norwood and grandson Danny. She is survived by her daughters Theresa Harris and Susan Wessolleck, three sisters Jane, Camile, Ann and one brother Bob, grandchildren Michael, Susan, Zachary, five great grandchildren and one great grandson. The family will receive visitors Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 11-11:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 13752 Mary’s Way, Woodbridge, VA 22191. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to VITAS Hospice Care, 9625 Surveyor Court, Manassas, VA 20110 and OWL VFD, 910 Highams Court, Woodbridge, VA 22191 or a charity of your choice.
NORTH STAFFORD — Fire and rescue crews pulled a man from a ravine on Monday night.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was walking with his 10-year-old daughter in a wooded behind Kate Waller Barrett Elementary School on Duffey Drive in North Stafford about 6:19 p.m. when the man fell down an embankment and injured his leg.

Helen Spaur Pearson, 93, of Woodbridge, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 10. 2019.
Helen was born on March 4, 1926 in Duffy, West Virginia to the late Frank and Grace Spaur. She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald W. Pearson, eight brothers. Astor Spaur, Ross Spaur, Tracy Spaur, Bill Spaur, Frank Spaur, Randall Spaur, McCutchen Spaur, Earnest Spaur and two sisters, Ruth Garcia and Genevieve McCutcheon.
JAMES MICHAEL BENDA, 61, of Catlett, passed away on August 7, 2019, with his family at his side.
“Jimbo”, as he was known by his close friends, was an Army Brat born in Okinawa, Japan, December 1, 1957, to Ronald and Delores Benda.
