WOODBRIDGE — Frank Principi may not be done with politics yet.
The longtime Woodbridge District Supervisor will run a write-in campaign during the Nov. 5, 2019, General Election, according to sources familiar with the situation.
On Nov. 5, Prince William voters will be asked to consider two bond referendums that would allow the county to borrow up to $396 million to improve roads and parks. But the four candidates vying for the county’s top elected post disagree on whether voters should approve them.

STAFFORD COUNTY — A 14-year-old boy is in trouble with authorities who said he stole a firearm and pointed it at a young girl in a neighborhood.

Brenda L. Mac Murray, age 67, of Rixeyville, Virginia passed away peacefully on August 7, 2019 surrounded by family.
Preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Doris Earhart. Survived by her husband Pater H. Mac Murray; Daughter Lora Horton and husband James; Son Jason Bowers and wife Serena. Siblings Linda Rodgers and husband Jim, Jon Earhart and wife Phyllis, Donna Bush and husband Skip. Grandchildren Jessie Jenkins (Ashton), Haley Huffman (Matt), and Hunter Bowers. Great-grandchildren Alexia Jenkins, Camden Jenkins, Riley Spicer and Mason Jenkins.
Today is the first day of the 70th Annual Prince William County Fair.
The fair gates open at 5 p.m. Friday, and there will be plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy.

STAFFORD — The rural roads of Stafford are failing to support the county’s continued urban development, and residents are speaking out.
Many in recent months have pressed elected members of the Stafford Board of Supervisors, demanding for action on a variety of transportation issues. All have expressed common frustrations about the time it takes the Virginia Department of Transportation to safety concerns.
DALE CITY — (Press Release) The Dale City “LIGHTNING” Track Club (DCTC) was named the 2019 National Track and Field Club of the Year by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).
The award was based on the team’s outstanding success and merit working with today’s youth and tomorrow’s stars. The award was presented during the AAU 2019 National Junior Olympic Games held in Greensboro, N.C. The 2019 National Junior Olympic games had over 13,000 youth participants, making the event the largest youth track and field event in the world.
