(Press Release) After an extensive interview process, the Board of County Supervisors appointed Acting Chief Tim Keen to the position of Chief of the Prince William County Fire and Rescue System.

“Chief Keen is a proven leader. He knows this community, has dedicated his professional life to serving Prince William County, and has demonstrated the ability to lead a combined Fire and Rescue System through any challenge and transition,” said Corey Stewart, Chairman of the Board of County Supervisors.


James “Heavy Duty” Masonis, 54 of Woodbridge, VA passed away on September 9, 2019. He was born at Sheppard AFB, TX to Jerome and the late Virginia Soechting Masonis. Including his mother, he is preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Perdue.

He is survived by his father, Jerome F. Masonis, his sister Ginger (Kevin) Tansey, his brother Jerome (Debbie) Masonis and many nephews and nieces.

The music in this choral concert captures the heart and soul of the American spirit through patriotic tunes and songs from the heartland. Joining the chorus are dancers from Dance Etc. School of the Arts and accompaniment from the talented members of Legacy Brass.

This family friendly and FREE event is perfect for young and old. Kids, parents, and grandparents will be familiar with many of the songs in this inspirational program. There are two opportunities to attend: Saturday, May 2 at 7:30 pm or Sunday, May 3 at 3:30 p.m.

Mariachi’s Tequileria & Restaurant General Manager Luke Tamer’s six-month-old daughter underwent open-heart surgery at Inova Children’s Hospital.


Scott Harold McGrath, born in Walnut Creek, CA, was blessed to spend his 55 years of life traveling the world and bringing his Wife, Angelina, Daughter, Brenna, and Son, Kieran, with him on many adventures. The patriarch of a Disney loving family, annual expeditions to a Disney theme park or on a Disney cruise ship became a tradition. His favorite character was Goofy.

Scott served in the US Navy for 24 years, and was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A leader and a teacher by nature, and often by profession, his final assignment for his church was ministering to the Marine Corps Officer Candidates in joyful tandem with his wife of thirty-two years.
