City leaders envision a large retailer to be the anchor of its long-talked-about City Center development.

 A joint public hearing held on November 6 was the first step in amending the city’s Comprehensive Plan, and officials hoping this clears the way to landing their dream store. 


Joseph Mizer passed suddenly on November 10,2019 at the age of 68.

Born September 9, 1951, Joseph was a beloved father to his human children Jason Mizer (Megan), Christy Robson (Doug) Carrie Gill (Mike) as well as his beloved canine child, Tucker.

The National Museum of the Marine Corps will be holding an illuminated tour of Semper Fidelis Memorial Park from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 15.

The path will be lit with luminarias to guide visitors and spotlights will highlight the many stunning monuments dedicated to Marine Corps history, including a statue of Marine Corps General Lejeune, commonly referred to as the ‘greatest of all Leathernecks’ and ‘The Marine’s Marine.’
