Good Morning  – Girls on the Run is looking for coaches for the Spring 2020 season. Lace-up your sneakers and come inspire girls in grades 3-8 to be strong, confident and healthy.

You do not need to be a runner to coach. You just need to serve as a role model by showing up prepared and on time, listening attentively and demonstrating a positive attitude.

From the Stafford sheriff’s office | Air Pods stolen

300 Block of Twin Brook Lane, 01/21, 4:07 p.m. A resident reported that he made an arrangement through Facebook Marketplace to sell a pair of Air Pods. When they met, the buyer asked to see the Air Pods. After the seller handed him the Air Pods, the buyer took off running.

Press release | Beginning Monday, January 27, 2020, FRED Transit will relocate its Spotsylvania Avenue transfer point from its current location to about five miles south to its new location in the parking lot of Rappahannock Goodwill Industries (RGI) at 4701 Market Street. The new transfer facility will serve the following routes:

Each route will continue to serve Stop 26 on Spotsylvania Avenue, but buses will no longer make transfers here.

The one thing city leaders in Manassas don’t want is tall buildings that loom over people as they walk on downtown sidewalks.

In the city’s new comprehensive plan, a vision for 2040, the city wants all buildings that line streets to be constructed in a way so that a three-story portion of the building abuts the street, while a “step back” portion of the building rises as high as five stories.

The Manassas Regional Airport is the largest of its kind in the state. But does the majority of the flying public know its there?

Airport officials will spend $35,000 on an advertising and marketing plan this year to increase name awareness. About 40% of the people they intend to reach are locals who need a place to base their aircraft, with 60% of the remainder being transients (people who fly in their planes from out of town.) Commercial flights aren’t offered at the airport.
