Stafford sheriff’s office press release | Two suspects were arrested on Thursday by detectives with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit following a joint investigation with the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office into a report that a juvenile was sexually assaulted by two suspects in both counties.

On January 20, 2020, a 14-year-old juvenile filed a report with the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office that she had been sexually assaulted earlier that day. The juvenile advised that she had met two male subjects at the Chick-fil-A located at 25 Dunn Drive in Stafford. They exchanged Snapchat information and the juvenile provided the subjects with her home address in Fauquier County.

Prince William

Prince William County press release |The Strategic Plan is the guiding document that outlines what the community would like the county to look like in four years. The plan, drawn up by citizen volunteers, aided by county staff, outlines a vision of how the county would support the identified strategic plan goals around human services, public safety, transportation, and other county services.

The Prince William County 2021-2024 Strategic Plan will guide budget decisions over the four years it will be in place, said the county’s Strategic Plan Coordinator, Kaye Wallace. “Every year, when we create our annual budget, we use the Strategic Plan to help determine where funding should be allocated.”


Obituaries

Fay Arlene Engel, 80 of Woodbridge VA died at her home surrounded by her family on January 30, 2020. She was born in Pennsylvania in 1939 to the late Harvey and Grace Krapp (nee Klinger). Fay loved to sew and enjoyed machine embroidery. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and her dog, Dessie.

Fay is survived by her loving husband, Donald Engel; her three children, Kim Ploger (Dave), Steve Engel (Annette) and Cindy Morris (Dan); her sister, Marion Upton. She is also survived by her six cherished grandchildren, Beth Ploger, Steven Engel, Mike Ploger, Paige Engel, Jacob Morris, and Josh Morris.
