Mildred Grace White died May 11, 2020 at the age of 91. Born July 21, 1928, Mildred was the heart of the family she built with her husband of nearly 67 years, Harry White. Her favorite place was her home where she could be surrounded by her loving family and enjoy a quiet life. Mildred joins her parents John and Lola Kennedy and is survived by her husband as well as their children Robert White, Deborah White, and Kathleen Spotts, their grandchildren Jeff, Cathi, Michelle, and Jennifer, along with eight great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

Virginia Delegate Elizabeth Guzman (D-31, Dale City, Fauquier) has a new seat on the Prince William County Jail Board.
Guzman opposes the county’s 287(g) program and has vowed to have it abolished. As the jail board oversees the program, now she may have her chance.

Residents on Tuesday flooded a testing site located on the grounds of Stonewall Jackson High School outside Manassas. It reached capacity at 11 a.m., just an hour after the site opened.

Residents rallied outside the Prince William County Government Center at 1 o’clock in the afternoon Tuesday in support of longstanding policy used to combat illegal immigration.
The protestors’ signs stated “Save 287(g),” which is a program that checks the legal status of those who have been arrested and charged with a crime. In Prince Wiliam County — one of only two jurisdictions that utilize the program, those checks are done as the suspect is processed into the county jail. If the inmate is found to be in the country illegally, they’re turned over to federal customs and immigration officials.
Mayor Mary Katherine Greenlaw will remain in her position for another term.
This will be Greenlaw’s third term as the mayor of Fredericksburg, a position she has held since 2012.
