Prince William County Public Schools officials are monitoring the coronavirus outbreak.

“Prince William County Schools staff are closely monitoring the situation and a collaborative working group is developing specific plans in the event any changes to school operations are required. Additional guidance will be provided as developed and as necessary,” a school division press release states.

Marine Corps 17.75K runners and guests can join the Marine Corps Marathon Organization (MCMO) for a night of carbo-loading and motivation at the MCM Motivational Dinner Series at The Clubs at Quantico aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico (MCBQ).

It’s with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Carlos Hernan Gonzalez on Saturday, February 22, 2020 in his home.  He is the son of the late Jose Arcadio and Genara Cruz Gonzalez of Chirilagua, El Salvador and son in law of the late Cipriano and Blanca Rosa Chicas of Chirilagua, El Salvador.

Carlos left his birth country of El Salvador for the United States in 1983.  He settled his family in Northern Virginia residing in Alexandria, Arlington, and presently in Woodbridge.  He was a great and devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grand-father, friend, and an example to those close to him.

The county animal shelter is supposed to be a clean, safe haven for pets who have wandered away, or for animals who have nowhere else to go.

The 45-year-old animal shelter on Bristow Road in Prince William County, however, is described as a place so disgusting employees and volunteers who pause to eat during their lunch breaks do so in a kitchen full of mouse droppings.


News

When officials decided to start school three weeks before Labor Day, there were some concerns students riding buses to and from school would be sweating due to a lack of air conditioning.

Some cafeteria workers inside the schools also labor without air conditioning. It’s a problem, after all, as temperatures in mid-August can sweltering.
