Virginia Railway Express adds new round trip option, safety measures

The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) has added a new round trip option to its Fredericksburg Line to support social distancing effective Monday, July 27.

“We are closely monitoring ridership on both the Fredericksburg and Manassas lines and will adjust service as the number of passengers grows,” said Rich Dalton, VRE’s acting CEO. “We have seen enough of an increase on our Fredericksburg Line to warrant an additional round trip. These two new trains, along with other measures, will allow us to continue to protect the health and safety of our passengers and train crews.”

Emma Lee Parks McLaughlin Parks was born to Dannie and Liza Janne McLaughlin on October 15,1924.in Wagram North Carolina. She was the fourth child born to a family of seven siblings,Dannie Jack McLaughlin,Julia Mae Whitted, Anne Baldwin, Josephine Harris,Bessie McLeod and James McLaughlin. She was the last of her siblings that preceded her in death.

Emma was a loving parent to one son,Daniel G. McLeod Sr.,his wife Patricia D. McLeod.  Emma has two Grandchildren Daniel McLeod Jr.(wife Claudine) and Terah McLeod.  She has five Great Grand children: Scarlett McLeod, Tygi McLeod Reid, Taleah McLeod Holiday, Tesha McLeod Patterson and Talib McLeod.

Investigation of Prince William schools superintendent’s Tweets wraps up

After months of investigation, the independent review of Prince William County Public Schools (PWCPS) Superintendent Dr. Steven L. Walts’ Twitter account is complete.

The Prince William County School Board has received a detailed briefing from the outside law firm it contracted to assess the division’s policies and activities. It remains to be seen if the information obtained during the investigation will be released to the public.
