Free coronavirus testing is available for anyone who lives or works in Prince William County, the Manassas, or Manassas Park. Participants must provide their full name, telephone number, and a home or work address to obtain COVID testing and receive the results.

Here is a list of the upcoming testing sites and locations. All sites can accommodate drive-thru or walk-up testing. To ensure residents receive a test, they’re asked to arrive at the site as close as possible to the start time and ensure they are in line by the time posted below.

A woman faces charges after a man involved in a head-on crash was taken to a hospital.

On August 20 , Stafford sheriff’s deputies were called to the 3000 block of Route 1 for a head-on collision between a Toyota Tacoma and a Toyota Rav4. An investigation revealed the Tacoma was traveling north on Route 1 when it crossed the center line and struck the other vehicle.


On September 16, the suspect sought in connection to the aggravated malicious wounding was arrested after he turned himself in to police.

The arrest comes after police were called at 1:58 a.m. on Monday, September 12 to a home in the 2800 block of Bowes Lane in Dale City, behind Prince William Square Shopping Center, to investigate a shooting. Poilce arrived and learned that a verbal altercation ensued. During the encounter, the suspect brandished a firearm and shot the victim, a 48-year-old man.


Politics

A poll released this week by the Virginia Commonwealth University L. Douglas Wilder School of Government shows presidential candidate Joe Biden and U.S. Sen. Mark Warner leading by double-digit margins in the commonwealth.

The Richmond-based university conducted a telephone poll of just over 800 adults from Aug. 28 to Sept. 7. The results show Democratic nominee Biden ahead of President Donald Trump by 14 percentage points (53% to 39%).
