For my family, 2020 was an exciting year, one where we welcomed our first child’s birth. It was a life-changing experience bringing her into the world — one for which we had spent much of 2019 preparing.
My wife took maternity leave the last week of January in preparation for our little girl, who was supposed to arrive about Valentine’s Day. When she was born, and at the end of her maternity leave, my wife planned to go back to work. I, too, planned to get back into the swing of things at my job.

One man is in custody following a robbery at a 7-Eleven store in Manassas.
At 1 o’clock this morning, police were called to a 7-Eleven at 8901 Godwin Drive for a report of a robbery. The store clerk told police that a man walked into the store and demanded money while implying he was armed.

New Year’s Eve is going to look very different this year – with the Governor’s orders ending alcohol consumption in bars and restaurants at 10 pm, plus a curfew between midnight and 5 am for nonessential travel, many events are taking place earlier or virtually this year.
