WOODBRIDGE — For commuters in Woodbridge heading to the Pentagon and beyond, there’s carpooling, rail and single-occupancy vehicles going up congested Interstate 95.

But to Woodbridge District Supervisor Frank Principi there’s another choice, and that’s the high-speed ferry up the Potomac River.


STAFFORD — A sinkhole nearly 20 feet deep and just as wide has opened up on Eustace Road.

STAFFORD — Leaders on the Stafford County School Board face a tough political decision if they want the funds to buy a shuttered Christian school.

The School Board earlier this year requested the Board of Supervisors, which funds the schools, give $10 million to buy the old Fredericksburg Christian School building off Garrisonville Road in North Stafford, and include the cost of renovations in this year’s Capital Improvement Plan.

QUANTICO — The U.S. flag will once again fly over the Iwo Jima Memorial at Quantico.

During the windstorm in March, the hands holding the pole were damaged to the point that the flag was no longer stable. The statue greets visitors at the main gate to the base, as well as those who use Route 1 to drive past the base..
