Kerri Ann Stephen, 34, died July 3, at her home in Dale City, VA. She was born in Burlington, VT, to Gayle Stephen Sanders and Craig Lee Stephen, and she continued to live with that Vermont independent spirit after the family moved to Virginia.

Kerri was extraordinarily smart, wickedly funny and beautiful, but it was her compassion that everyone admired most of all. She was an ally for any victim of injustice. She marched for affordable housing alongside homeless advocates Mitch Snyder and Philip Berrigan when she was just six years old, and was an ardent supporter of her former mayor, Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Richard Paul Sauchuck, age 57, of Woodbridge, VA, passed away on June 30, 2017. Loving son of the late Paul and Dorothy (Capps) Sauchuck. Dear brother of Paula Lagos (late Bobby), Loretta Knight (Jack), Brenda Kerner (John), Randall Sauchuck (Karen Coughlin), and Regina Sauchuck. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family, including his “family” at The Grayson House, where he resided for the past 10 years.

Richard was a member of the Catholic faith and enjoyed attending mass with his sister Brenda. Richard loved nature and especially enjoyed participating in the Prince William County Horticultural Therapy Program. Spending time with his family, going out to eat, and listening to music were special joys in Richard’s life. He will be missed by all who knew him.
