STAFFORD — More information about a fatal crash in Stafford County involving two high school students tricked out from non-law enforcement sources this week.

Stafford County Garrisonville District Supervisor Mark Dudenhefer says two teenagers were traveling on Poplar Road. The female driver hadn’t had her license for a full year, he said. A second occupant of the car, a male, died.

STAFFORD — Three-tenths of an acre could delay road improvements to be made ahead of the opening of a new Moncure Elementary School

County officials are having trouble convincing property owners to accept its offer for three-tenths of an acre of property on Juggins Road in North Stafford.


MANASSAS — Real estate prices in Prince William County and Manassas continue to rise.

And if the name of this new experiential tourism trail doesn’t catch your eye, maybe the sound will. Say it aloud. It rhymes. It has rhythm. Who doesn’t love a bacchanalian motif?

Music and poetry aside, the “Steins, Vines and Moonshine Trail” promises to be lots of fun. The trail includes nearly twenty craft breweries, wineries and distilleries. Beverage producers and tasting rooms are located throughout the Prince William area, including Haymarket, Woodbridge, Nokesville, Lake Ridge, Gainesville and Manassas.


STAFFORD — Tom Coen was appointed to the Stafford County Board of Supervisors in February to replace George Washington District Supervisor turned state delegate Bob Thomas.

Coen was appointed to the board by six Republicans. Today, he announced he wants to keep the job but he’s going to run as an independent in the fall.
