Crash on Route 1 in Woodbridge kills one

WOODBRIDGE — (Press Release) On October 5 at 4:09 p.m., investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 14200 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

The investigation revealed that a driver of a 2018 Lexus RX400 was attempting to turn into a business from northbound Jefferson Davis Hwy across stopped, heavy southbound traffic when the vehicle was struck by a 2002 Kawasaki ZX600J motorcycle, which was traveling on the southbound shoulder of Jefferson Davis Hwy.

Dumfries robbery suspect arrested, multiple charges

DUMFRIES – (Press Release) On October 3, Deshawn Terrell MARTIN, who was wanted for a robbery that occurred following a verbal altercation with an acquaintance at a business on Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries on October 1, was located at his residence and arrested without incident.

217 Garrisonville Road, 10/02. Suspects arrested after stealing from Walmart. On September 24, 2018, at approximately 4:23 p.m., a loss prevention employee from Walmart reported several past occurred larcenies involving the same suspects. During each incident, a male and female subject was observed taking items to the self-checkout and failing to scan each item. Jessica Guevara, 19, of Stafford was served four misdemeanor shoplifting warrants and released. William Walker, 33, of Stafford was served four felony shoplifting warrants and was incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $500.00 secured bond.
